Have you ever heard of a Disfellowshipping overturned
by Jim Dee ini was an elder for 14 years.. i sat through 23 disfellowshipping decisions and 6 appeals - and not one of them was approved.
i checked with the guys i grew up with and they hadn't heard of an overuling either (and one of them is now a co).the i think about my 35 years under the cosh - and i cannot recall an overuling from that perspective either.. it would be worth knowing, has anyone hear ever heard of a disfellowshipping being overruled?
or is this another case of animal farm coming true.

There is NO annual service report in the Janaury 1st WT
by truthseeker inwell, i have confirmed rumors that have gone around about there being no annual service report for the january 1st, 2005 issue.. .
it seems, for reasons unknown, that the watchtower has ended another decades long tradition.
in the second study article for the january 1st, 2005 watchtower, entitled, "trained to give a thorough witness," paragraph 24 reads: .

"What is life if full of care - we have no time to stop and stare"
by Jim Dee inthat prose was written many years ago by a great poet - william henry davies from wales.. 4 years ago i realised that the child molestation issue was totally out of order and the society was plain wrong, and helped in my own small way to help those who highlighted the problem - and in the following years i also realised that the poets words were right.. for 40 years its been - monday wt study prep, tuesday group, wed prep for tms, thursday tms and sm, friday personal strudy, sat field service, sunday wt and field service.
there was no time to stop and stare!
a treadmill with no happiness or ending - just acceleration.. now on a sat and sun i go away the wales, the lake district, the fenlands of norfolk or the museums in london.

Green Thumb in the UK - a new way to Pioneer?
by Jim Dee inin the uk a new craze is underway in the org - its called "green thumb" and is run by an elder in heswall on merseyside.. he is recruiting other elders and ms to buy franchises and county areas and employ pioneers to sell the services door to door or on the phone.
been going now about 4 years and the bro in heswall is now worth 30million.. he encourages the franchise holders to employ pioneers and "youths" because they are reliable, experienced salespeople and dirt cheap.
anybody heard of this .

Did Being a JW Make You a Bully VICTIM in SCHOOL?
by Smoldering Wick ini read this article in the montreal gazette that talked about a young witness kid being bullied in school.
it made me think back to all the times i was treated differently in school for being a jehovah's witness.
i grew up in a predominately mexican community and went to public school there from 1st-12th grade as a jw.

Watchtower Society holding personal information / files?
by Celtic ina matter just occurred to me a few minutes ago which was on my mind quite a long while back.. does the local kh and the society hold personal information and/or files about members and/or former members?
if they do, how long do they keep this information?

Has Anyone Ever Met Any Celebrities?
by imallgrowedup inthis is a spin-off of another thread where my *mild and chaste* friend, mouthy, admitted to wanting to meet her dream man, tom jones, and that she would even go so far as to throw her bloomers at him, if that is what it would take to get his attention!
well, the mental picture this painted was far too much for me to bear, so i encouraged her to save her red polka-dotted "unmentionables", not only because she might need them in the future, but because i didn't think she'd have to go that far to get his attention.
and i said that - because of a personal experience with him.
